Lord Strathcona Medal

The Lord Strathcona Medal is one of the highest awards which can be bestowed upon a cadet/JCR. It is awarded annually to cadets/JCRs to recognize exemplary performance in physical training as well as their service, performance, example and excellence as a cadet/JCR.
The Lord Strathcona Medal, the certificate and the lapel pin are awarded through the Lord Strathcona Trust.
Criteria
The recipient must have a comprehensive knowledge of the activities of the Cadet/JCR Program and must meet the following requirements:
display a high level of physical fitness;
have completed three years as a cadet/JCR;
have completed all requirements of their corps/sqn/patrol training program in the year of nomination; and
be regarded by peers and supervisors as exemplifying the model cadet/JCR.
